I believe the Second Vatican Council which met from 1962 to 1965 was the most significant event in the history of the Church since Pentecost, and the single greatest key to unlocking the mystery of what is happening in the world today. The purpose of the Vatican II Blog section of this website is to study the history of this world-changing council, to study the sixteen documents it promulgated and compare them with the Church’s classic teaching, and to chart the subsequent impact of the council on Catholic faith, worship, and life.
