Literature Blog
The purpose of the Literature Blog section of this website is to read through all the great works of Western literature, from Homer to “The Hunger Games” and beyond, providing a Catholic commentary on them. Along the way we may consider some literature that may not quite qualify for inclusion in a “Great Books” curriculum, but is still worthy of discussion, especially if it deals with themes (spiritual, political, economic, etc.) I find interesting and important to an understanding of our current situation. (NOTE: G.K. Chesterton, C.S. Lewis, Flannery O’Connor, and Shakespeare all have separate blogs dedicated to a study of their works on this website; this general Literature Blog will therefore not include posts on these authors.
