The project of the OT Blog section of this website is to systematically work through the entire Old Testament (all 46 books, including the deuterocanonical books, or what non-Catholics call “the apocrypha”), in order (thus beginning with Genesis), chapter by chapter, expounding its meaning by carefully exegeting the text in its original language (generally Hebrew, but in some cases Aramaic or Greek), drawing upon the rich tradition of the classic commentators down through the years, and finally applying its message to our current situation in salvation history.
