Understanding the Bible’s message has always been fundamental to Christianity. The purpose of the Biblical Studies Blog section of this website is, not to work through the contents of the Bible itself, chapter by chapter — that is accomplished in the separate OT Blog and NT Blog sections of this site — but to summarize and analyze significant works in the area of Biblical studies. These may be: general introductory handbooks to the Bible; OT or NT theologies; histories of Biblical Interpretation; books discussing particular Biblical themes or sections of the Bible (for example, the Pentateuch, the OT prophets, the Gospels, the letters of St. Paul, etc.); Biblical dictionaries and encyclopedias, atlases, and other reference works; Hebrew, Greek, or Aramaic language tools (grammars, lexicons, concordances); etc.
