Papacy Blog

Since the death of St. Peter over 300 men — validly-elected popes as well as invalidly-elected, office-usurping anti-popes — have sat (or have claimed to sit) on his seat as bishop of Rome, Vicar of Christ, and visible head of the Catholic Church. The purpose of the Papacy Blog section of this website is to study, in chronological order, the careers and impact these men have had. Such a study reveals some amazing patterns to the history of the papacy, and sheds much-needed light on the crisis currently afflicting the Church.
